I call this one Stairway To Hell as it looks miserable and cold compared to the newly popular Stairway To Heaven in Co Fermanagh which has seen a massive boost in visitors flocking to take on the 666m summit.

This photograph was actually taken in Co Wicklow along the Wicklow Gap (Bearna Chill Mhantáin ) near the viewing point which overs views of mountains Tonelagee & Camaderry and even Turlough Hill.

The weather was so bad this day that it made the simple trail look dreary and miserable. The mist gives the illusion that the trail itself is long but in fact it isn’t.
