Not far from where I live you can find an amazing Valley known as The Devil’s Glen which was carved out at the end of the Ice Age. The Devil’s Glen got it’s name from the Devilish roar that the Waterfall once made as it poured into the Valley.

Since the construction of the Vartry Reservoir in the 1860’s the level of water pouring into the Glen has dramatically decreased. But during the autumn/winter months when the rain comes the waterfall can put on quite the show and you can hear that amazing devilish roar of the water smashing onto the rocks below.
